Supporting the Perry Music Program: The Perry Band Olympics Relocates to North Polk

In the wake of the tragic shooting that shook the Perry Community School District in early January, our hearts continue to go out to everyone impacted. Such incidents bring profound distress to our schools, families, and communities, especially when they hit so close to home.

Amidst these challenging times, the Perry Schools and the High School Marching Band remain resilient in their commitment to the arts and community support. Annually, they organize the expansive event, The Perry Band Olympics, which brings together bands from various schools to showcase their musical prowess. This competition serves as a significant source of funding for the band's expenses throughout the year.

In light of recent events, the location for The Perry Band Olympics has been relocated to North Polk High School. This decision reflects the resilience of the music community and their dedication to uplifting each other during difficult times. All funds generated by the event will be channeled directly back to the Perry Music program, providing essential support in the aftermath of the tragedy.

A heartfelt thank you extends to the incredible Mr. Weeks and Mr. Bell for graciously offering the use of North Polk's building to the Perry music program. Their generosity is a shining example of solidarity in the face of adversity.

As we approach the event, more information will be shared. For those interested in making a difference, volunteering opportunities are available. Please reach out to our music department or Activities Director, Matt Eichhorn, to contribute your support.

Let us come together as a community to celebrate the resilience of the human spirit through the power of music. Stay tuned for updates and join us in making The Perry Band Olympics at North Polk a memorable and impactful event!
